Annual General Meeting
Outwood Memorial Hall / Zoom Saturday 4th July 10.30am
According to our constitution all members of the present committee stand down at that meeting and a new team is elected by you, based on nominations received prior to the meeting. It would be good to welcome some new faces to the team at that time so please make contact with the Chairman or any of the members of the present committee to discuss how you might be able to contribute.

As the people in the photograph are either members of the Wakefield Adult school or Conscientious Objectors the talk will cover both sets of people, namely the origins of the Adult School Movement and the activities connected with members of the Wakefield Adult School on their annual Whitsuntide holiday to Cober Hill.
The other stories will be what is known about some of the Conscientious Objectors named in the photograph, their links with the speaker’s family and of their experiences of their time in Wakefield. Some of which were quite humorous and others less so.
There will be a display for Outwood to go with the talk.
