Yorkshire Food and Drink Special.
…to whet your appetite for our December meeting. We usually provide Christmas cake at that meeting to get everyone in the festive mood and have a tradition of surprising the attendees with the content. In our programme of events I simply listed the subject as “Yorkshire Food and Drink” any indication of the speaker or other detail. We have secured a very special speaker and it was put to me that I should communicate this so that everyone has a chance to come and see and hear him. Peter Brears is the man in question, now a renowned historic house consultant and food historian, but he is coming back to his roots as he spent his most of his childhood years living just a stone’s throw from the Memorial Hall and plans to talk about Yorkshire Christmas Fare over the ages and will illustrate his talk with food samples for the audience to taste.
Even though the tasting cannot be done virtually, it will still be a hybrid (Zoom) meeting.
