Yours For Eternity

A talk by John Rumsby based on the correspondence between Henry Coulter and his sweetheart, Lucy Townend. Henry worked as a clerk for the Huddersfield Tramways .He enlisted in 1915 in the Leeds Bantams – these were for men less than 5 ft 3 inches. There letter revealed much about their activities and aspirations of Yorkshire people during difficult times during WW1. Unfortunately, Henry was killed in 1916 before he could read the last letter from Lucy.
