Keep the home fires burning - Doncaster's Home Front
From April Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery. An interactive exhibition offering insight into home life in Doncaster during the war.
Queens of industry
Until Sept. 2019. Leeds Industrial Museum, Armley Mills. Exhibition revealing untold stories of working class women elected to represent some of Britain's greatest industries from coal to cotton. Queens of Industry were a 20th century phenomenon; the first Railway Queens elected in the 1920s and the last Coal Queen crowned in the 1980s. Free with museum admission.
A Woman's Place
Until Dec. 2018. Abbey House Museum, Kirkstall. A new exhibition to mark the centenery year of the first women getting the vote. Normal museum admission.
