It celebrates its 200 year anniversary in 2021. This Bicentury Archive Project aims to create an archive at the museum that will be accessible to everyone.
Queens of industry
Until Sept. 2019. Leeds Industrial Museum, Armley Mills. Exhibition revealing untold stories of working class women elected to represent some of Britain's greatest industries from coal to cotton. Queens of Industry were a 20th century phenomenon; the first Railway Queens elected in the 1920s and the last Coal Queen crowned in the 1980s. Free with museum admission.
A Woman's Place
Until Dec. 2018. Abbey House Museum, Kirkstall. A new exhibition to mark the centenery year of the first women getting the vote. Normal museum admission.
The Metcalfe Society - A Yorkshire Clan
