A Family At War
Until Aug. West Yorkshire History Centre. A new exhibition which follows the story of life for a fictional local family living in Wakefield at the outbreak of WWI. Free admission during opening hours.
Caring for Photographs
3 Oct. 6.30-8. 30pm West Yorkshire History Centre Learn the basics on storage, handling, care, packaging, advice on materials to use. Bring your own photos for advice/discussion. 12 per adult [or 60 for all six workshops].
Palaeography
26 Sept. 6.30-8.30pm West Yorkshire Histry Centre, Wakefield. Aimed at beginners with little or no experience. Using documents from the archives explore the quirks of 17th and 18th century handwriting, you will learn how to transcribe documents through numerous examples and hands on practice. Booking required. 12 per adult [or 60 for all six workshops].
